Tea is considered to be the most populer beverage in the World today. It is consumed to various forms all over the World, by people of all walks of life.Tea estates spawn from the settlement and continue on for acres into the hills, rolling along the topography both high and low. Little villages of workers punctuate the estates, offering, along with the wonderful natural beauty, a glimpse into life here - attractive in its simplicity, continuity and comfort.

The industry consists of three main groups – producers, brokers and exporters. The producers are in fact the ones who actually manufacture tea, and are made up of persons involved at plantation and factory level. Brokers are the middlemen who play a vital role in this industry, as they liase between the producers and buyers in the industry, and conduct marketing for the plantations and factories. The buyer/exporters consist of a large number of companies both local and international.
